SaJu -tea glass
The assignment of this project was to design and produce a glass for a hot drink. I wanted to create an aromatic tea experience, where the action of enjoying the tea is just one part of the whole ritual. The shape of the glass and the curly birch coaster gives an idea of natural elegance merged together with a design that bot just looks good but feels good as well.
Saju is an old Finnish word for tea - a great choice for the name of the glass.
Photography on wood
I am a passionate photographer and I wanted to merge together my product design skills with photography. I decided to print my photos manually on wood in an environmentally friendly way, which took numerous hours of trial and error. In the end I invented a way to create these pieces of art that create a unique atmosphere with the sense of wood and stories of the photos.
XYZ -clothes stand
This project was a result of solving a problem that I faced ever day at home - half used clothes on the floor. I realised that reason I didn't already have a solution for this problem was the awful design of the clothes stands that one can get from the store so to free myself from the problem lying on the floor I designed XYZ -stand that looks great and works well for its purpose.
Amida - lamp with a twist
This project was for an Italian chemical etching company, which were looking new designs for their collection. The main idea was to create a decorative yet traditional lamp that could be transformed into something else. In the end the lamp has two functions - the normal light and a light decorator.
